• Where Do My Plugin Settings Save Vst Files

I tried searching for this but found so many unrelated topics I gave up. I'm sorry if this is a repeat question.
I have a bundled KORG Live 4 which is sort of nice, but since it's giving me a hard time I tried the 6.0.x demo. Without luck.

Why isn't Live saving settings for some VSTs?
I'm about to break down and cry because sometimes it simply refuses to load the correct instrument in Hypersonic 2 after saving. It just resets to the default. Sometimes it will save it, sometimes it won't. (Or load it, not sure if Live even saves the info correctly). No logic to it that I can see.
It's even worse in AlgoMusic M42 Nebula. Here Live'll reset the instrument every time I press space or otherwise stop the music in any way (including saving).
I googled and read somewhere that it could be because that closing the VST before saving will reset the settings, but that makes no sense and isn't the issue here anyway. I've tried it all.
